Things are still amazing in Puerto Vallarta. Went to a drag parody of Burlesque last night and I was thoroughly entertained. The drag talent (Talent in general actually) in this city continues to impress. The crowd was great, the performers amazing! At this rate I think the general population of Puerto Vallarta thinks I’m just another gay man!!! Since I always go with Trevor who knows everyone everywhere!
Life at Amaria Villas is wonderful overall. I still get in the pool every day. Tho, since I wrenched my foot at the Botanical Gardens, I can’t swim my two hundred meters a day. But I still get in and exercise my ankle in the water which I believe is really helping to strengthen it. And there are worse things to do than float around and soak up rays! LOL
However, business has been slow. We’ve got plenty of irons in the fire, but really need something to give soon. We have our busy days, but we have slow days more often. If any of you are marketing whizzes and want to offer advice, please do! We need your help! Even if you’re not a marketer but have ideas, hit me up. PLEASE.
On the horizon: I get my new truck tomorrow. It’ll be wrapped to advertise the Villas. I’m soooo excited. We’re getting Trevor a car, too. So we’ll have transportation, which is huge! The OTHER big thing we’re working towards is to be a recovery place post surgery. We are working with a nurse in town, Marlon. He’s amazing. His idea was to provide a recovery place mostly for black women who come here since they’re discriminated against so heavily in the US. I, being me, asked about trans folks coming for surgery since it’s gonna be outlawed in the US, if it’s not already. Marlon thought this was a great idea, so I’ve been researching other places around the world and we seem to be able to offer everything they do from rooms, to special diet, to massages and hydrotherapy. I’ll be touching base with Marlon this afternoon and he’ll be up to met with us Saturday.
Through it all, I’m slowly but surely working on my latest book. No surprise – it takes place in Puerto Vallarta. The main characters are a rich snob from the US and a local who is teaching her to be more down to earth. It’s coming along slowly but surely. I have no idea when it’ll be complete, but I’m certainly enjoying writing it,
Caleb is still here, DJing to his heart’s content. He leaves tomorrow, but will be back next month.
Laydin is still holding down the home front. She’ll be back in June and then we’re taking a three week vacation!
That’s it. Suggestions? Comments? Hit me up: mjwilliamz@aol.com!
